PICKUP AND DELIVERY
Bancrofts convenience allows total flexibility.

Bancrofts recognises your busy life – and the need to save time wherever you can. That’s why we introduced our pick up and delivery service. Now you can experience the un-compromised quality of all Bancrofts services – by having our trained consultant visit your home or office to pick up your garments or furnishings – offer advice and information – and deliver your order back at the agreed time.

The Bancrofts pick up and delivery service can be customised to your exact requirements by calling at your home and delivering to your office – or visa versa. Should you not be available, we can arrange to pick up your order from a designated place on your property and return it completed to the same place. With your authority, we will bill your transaction direct to your credit card.

The Bancrofts pick up and delivery service is in operation Monday to Friday, statutory holidays excepted. There is no pick up and delivery service on Saturday and Sunday.

  1. The Bancrofts pick up and delivery service is tailored for your convenience. If you live in a house and have a secure and dry location that we can pickup from and drop back to, then you do not need to be home. If you would prefer us to meet yourself, a nanny or a cleaner for example, that can be arranged for mutually agreed times (based on our service route for that day). If you live in an apartment, we generally would work with the doorman or concierge and have a central point/person we deal with. In secure buildings where access can only be granted by the resident, and no doorman or concierge is present, it is crucial that we be given access to pickup and deliver your garments. In cases where you are happy for us to leave garments hanging unattended on your front door, we can do that also. The Bancrofts Pickup & Delivery drivers will not enter an unattended residence.
  2. We then enter your information into our pickup and delivery service system, and will follow your directions. If, for example you would like us to pickup your garments on a Monday and return on a Thursday every week, that can be done. If you would like a once-a-week pickup and delivery on the same day, that can also be arranged. If you would like to be on-call, you simply nominate that on your sign-up form and we wait for you to call us. We prepare a Bancrofts Pickup and Delivery bag and personalize it to you. None of your personal details will be on the bag/card other than your name. We request you only leave your garments in this bag, as it is weather-proof, personalized and we know it is yours. Should you require more than one bag (one at home, and one at Bancrofts) we can also arrange that for you.
  3. The Bancrofts Pickup & Delivery Hotline is available 24/7 – please call the number below (if you are not scheduled for permanent day(s)) prior to 9:30am Monday – Friday to schedule service for that day. Calls after 9:30 am will be actioned the following business day (or possibly that day if the driver happens to be in or near your area). We have a 1300 number which only costs you a local call. We divert the call to the nearest driver to your location, who will answer and carry out your instructions. If the driver is actioning a pickup or delivery request, they may not be able to answer your incoming call. Please leave a message and your instructions will be carried out. The driver will generally not return your call, unless you specify that this be done, as we will simply act on your request. In the event that we cannot act on your request within your requested time frame, the driver will contact you to make alternate arrangements.
  4. Generally there is a turn around of most garments of approximately 48 hours for pickup and delivery service. We do not offer a same day service on pickup and delivery under any circumstances.
  5. Where The Bancrofts Pickup & Delivery drivers are unable to effect a delivery or pickup as per your request (for example if nobody is home to take possession of your garments or nothing is left out for us) we will leave a “We Missed You” card and request you contact us to reschedule. If we are not authorised to leave garments unattended at your location, we will return to Bancrofts Dry Cleaning, 45 Toorak Road, South Yarra, when the van returns to base.
  6. When we collect your garments, the driver picks up your bag. The bag is brought to Bancrofts Dry Cleaning, 45 Toorak Road, South Yarra and the contents of the bag are entered into our Customer Service computer system under CCTV cameras. We then process your garments, charge your credit card and return the finished order to you, approximately 48 hours later, with invoice and credit card slip attached. If we have your mobile number we will send you a SMS text message to let you know your garments are ready for collection. This is a courtesy message only, in case you need it sooner than the next scheduled delivery time (This would only usually happen when your garments become ready for collection over a weekend. You are at liberty to collect them personally from Bancrofts Dry Cleaning, 45 Toorak Road, South Yarra, but they will automatically be delivered on the following delivery day).
  7. The Bancrofts Pickup & Delivery drivers are not insured to carry cash, and cannot under any circumstances accept cash payments.
  8. Please leave a note attached to any garment that requires special handling such as repairs, alterations, where you know what the stains are, or special garments requiring additional care such as our Deluxe or Signature Service.
  9. If you need your garments processed in a time frame faster or different to the regular services, you are at liberty to drop your Bancrofts Pickup & Delivery bag to Bancrofts Dry Cleaning, 45 Toorak Road, South Yarra and we will return when the orders are completed.
  10. The Bancrofts Pickup & Delivery service area is currently limited to a radius of 8km from Bancrofts Dry Cleaning, 45 Toorak Road, South Yarra. We will publish new information on expanded service areas as we action them.
  11. Currently the Bancrofts Pickup & Delivery services South Yarra, Toorak, Malvern, Kooyong, Prahran, Windsor, Armadale, West St Kilda, East St Kilda, St Kilda, North Caulfield, Richmond, Burnley, North Melbourne, Port Melbourne, South Melbourne, West Melbourne, Fitzroy, Melbourne CBD, East Melbourne, Jolimont, Abbotsford, Collingwood, St Kilda Road (and surrounds), Southbank, Albert Park, Docklands.
